A certified nursing assistant, or CNA, helps patients with healthcare needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse.

CNAs provide a range of services for patients including:

  • Taking vital signs
  • Assisting patients with bathing and eating

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

Our CNA training program is designed to train health care assistants in basic skills. Our basic Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program in Hempstead, New York prepares students from Long Island, Hempstead, and surrounding areas for certification as a CNA. It will prepare the students with nursing theory, laboratory, and clinical experience required to work as a CNA in various areas. Day Classes

  • 9:30 am thru 1:30 pm
  • Monday thru Thursday
  • 6 weeks in class and 30 hrs in Clinical externship

Weekend Classes

  • 9 am thru 4 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday
  • 7 weeks in class and 30 hrs Clinical externship
